The township of Ocean is finalizing plans for an Active Transit Network of paths for both cyclists and pedestrians. The recent town meeting featured local residents supporting the effort, including one of The Peddler’s very good clients and friends, Dan Spector. September 19, 2010 Registration is open for the 15th running of the War at the Shore Triathlon. Featuring both sprint and intermediate distances, this triathlon is great for beginners and the advanced.

Being dubbed as the “worlds slowest Porsche” this DIY hobbyist project has a lot of neat concepts – and is a quantum leap from the 4-wheel bike-cars we see along the jersey shore. The 2010 date has been announced for the Monmouth County Park System’s Woods Hollow Classic mountain bike race. August 7, 2010, starting at 8am.
